Finance and consulting services in support of energy renovation
Founded in 2019, PEF2 specializes in financing energy transition projects and aims to streamline financial and administrative relationships between the various stakeholders involved in the energy transition of buildings.
PEF2 acts as a mandatary for MaPrimeRénov and CEE : PEF2 advances funds for the MaPrimeRénov subsidy, as well as CEE funds, to partner contractors, and supports companies and beneficiaries in their administrative procedures to accelerate the completion of renovation and energy efficiency works. Inspired by the CEE scheme in France, the Spanish government created the CAE (Energy Savings Certificates) system in 2023.
Drawing on its expertise in France, PEF2 is a pioneer of this scheme in Spain. In 2025, PEF2 launched a pilot financing cycle and decided to expand. With its office in Madrid, opened in early 2026, PEF2 is now present in the Spanish market and operates both administratively and financially within the CAE scheme.
PEF2’s mission is twofold:
Supporting families (particularly those with low income) finding solutions to escape energy poverty by reducing their heating budget while improving the comfort of their homes.
– Combating climate change by reducing the carbon footprint of the building sector, a major emitter of CO2, by encouraging comprehensive building renovation, particularly of homes.
